DigiShot Features

Some of the major features that make the DigiShot system easy to use and reliable are:

  • No delay Assignment on the Bench. The blaster simply uses the DigiShot Tagger to tell each detonator its location in the pattern. The system simultaneously checks the functionality of the detonator.

  • Blaster-Friendly Tagger. The DigiShot Tagger is a light-weight, inherently safe hand-held tool used to assign the drilled hole / detonator location with minimum keystrokes. The DigiShot Tagger can be used to test an individual detonator, part of the pattern or the entire circuit before leaving the bench. Easy-to-follow screen menus lead the blaster through all on-bench operations.

  • Easy-to-Use Blaster. The DigiShot 300S Blaster can program and fire the blast at any point after the desired delay timing is entered. For flexibility, the delay timing can be entered at any time - the day of the blast or any day before. Easy-to-follow screen menus lead the blaster through all delay and firing operations. One DigiShot 300S Blaster can fire up to 300 detonators. For larger shots, additional two Blasters can be added.

  • Rugged Reliability. The over-extruded detonator downline and robust connector ensure reliable communication between the DigiShot Electronic Detonator, DigiShot 300S Blaster and Tagger. All DigiShot components are water resistant, ESD resistant and RF resistant. Cable abrasion and cutting resistance all pass CEN TS13763-27, the European Standards of Compliance for Electronic Detonators.

DigiShot Eletronic Initiation System Components

The DigiShot electronic initiation system components are:

  • The DigiShot Electronic Detonator

    The DigiShot Electronic Detonator is a 2-wire programmable precision initiation device. The detonator shell is copper and fits in a standard booster. The timing accuracy is +/- 1 millisecond for blast durations of less than 5 seconds.

    The DigiShot connector is a small, transparent, rugged and water resistant connector with finger-friendly grippers for ease of use. A specially developed gel ensures leakage-free connections without messy greasy leaks.

  • The DigiShot CE4 Tagger

    The DigiShot CE4 Tagger is an inherently safe, portable device that is used to test DigiShot detonators and assign locations to detonators.

  • The DigiShot 300S Blaster

    The DigiShot 300S Blaster is a light-weight portable blasting device that can time and initiate DigiShot Detonators. Housed in a small bright orange portable carry case (3.5kg / 7.7lbs), it can verify blast layouts and test connections to detonators, as well as program, time and fire the detonators.

  • The DigiShot Smart key

    The DigiShot Smart key must be docked in the DigiShot 300S Blaster to initiate the blast. The DigiShot Smart key is password protected.
